Initial design ideas for Digipack
Hi everyone,
Sorry there hasn't been many posts recently, we've been trying to get our coursework done!
This is the back page of our digipack, including all of our song titles.
All of the song titles have some significance to the band and the album. The album is called 'Sleep All Day' which is why I have used a picture of the lead band member sleeping and dreaming of the song titles.
I hope you like the back and please feel free to leave any comments or opinions.
Thanks :)

Filming in Camden
After the unfortunate weather which we were faced with when attempting to film in Brighton, we decided to film in Camden instead. It is well known for its artistic buildings and market stalls, all adding to the setting which we were trying to create.
There were many benefits from filming in Camden, such as being able to film the graffiti tunnel which is situated just behind Waterloo station. The use of the graffiti gives a unique setting for filming and photography. The time lapse which we created by the river was very successful and looked effective once edited. In addition, the lights and funfair helped to create different focuses and shots.
However, we could have improved the amount of footage which we managed to film. If we had more time in Camden we may have been able to film more, however it took longer than expected to film certain bits of footage. In addition, in order to improve we could have planned the day better and made a shot list, enabling us to take a wide variety of shots.

Iconic Director Case Study
Spike Jonze is both a
film and music video director. He is a respected member of the industry and has
directed videos for major artists.

Sabotage, Beastie Boys. In this video there is no correlation between the lyrics and the visuals. Jonze has directed the video to make it look like a 70’s American crime drama. I am uncertain of the meaning behind this, perhaps a contrast to the music.
Drop, The Pharcyde. This entire video is one entire tracking shot but to set it
apart from similar videos Jonze has filmed to whole video in reverse, it is
very created and extremely well done. It only becomes obvious when the rappers
start moving in physically impossible ways.
