Our Magazine Advert
We used the black and white effect for the magazine advert and we blurred the front cover of the album onto the background of the advert.We used the effect of a photo reel around the photos of the band member in order to make it suit the Ska genre. The reel could relate to the checkered borders commonly seen in 'The Specials' magazine adverts, There is a picture of the album cover on the magazine advert which allows the audience to know what to expect. There are logos on each bottom corner of the page which show the audience where they can purchase the new album.
Ska Magazine Advert
This is a magazine advert for 'The Specials' it shows similar features to our magazine advert and it gives away a free CD. The advert once again uses the black and white effect and the checkered border in order to illustrate the Ska genre. The difference between the two is the type of picture of the band, the text and the use of colour as it's on the front of a magazine.
