Final digipack design for inside cover

In the end, i decided to use the same photos of the band that was used on the magazine advert. This was so that the band was represented in the same way. Also, we used more slang in the text because it made the band come across as more genuine and down to earth. It is all still in black and white so it links to the other sides of the digipack.

Rough Copy of Digipack inside cover

Here is my first copy of what image I was going to use for the inside of the digipack. I have included a screenshot of all band members of them all playing instruments. I originally thought this would be a good idea because they are saying a thank you message and it shows the band doing what they love.
However, I did not stay with this copy because I felt it was a bit plain and did not fit with the other areas of the digipack which were black and white.

Initial ideas for digipack

I was producing the inside left of the digipack where the band was saying a message to the fans and to their record label. These were just some ideas that I came up with but then thought they don't sound like a ska band and are not very original.

Therefore I came up with some different text to put on the inside of the digipack which mainly was just thanking their record label instead of their fans:

"Us fun loving guys wanna raise a pint to our record label for being the best fellas to make our banging tunes. Cheers to all the effort and support you’ve given us lads."

Analysis of digipack - ska

This is a ska digipack by 'The Delegators'.

Here we can see that the front cover consists of the main band member singing into a microphone. This shows the artist as hard working and cares about their music.

On the back cover we can see the lyrics are written in a white font above single pictures of the band in different body postures. This font is small and just written in normal ariel. It is not complicated but as it is white it stands out and they change some words to being bold.

The inside cover of the digipack is an image of the band messing around. This is showing their fans who brought the album that they are fun and love their job. It means the audience think they are genuine and are likely to go and see them live.

The white background of the cover behind the actual CD is contrasting with the black CD, therefore, making it stand out.

All of this digipack is in black and white shows the age of the band but also stands out from other digipacks which are normally colourful. This showing that the ska genre is different from other genres.

Analysis of Digipack - general

On all areas of the digipack it has a mixture of light colours compared with the front cover having a dark background behind the fairy. These are contrasting and showing the band as different.

The font is all in black and white and lists the bands songs. On the actual CD it has written the name of the CD on it, 'TODAY & TOMORROW". The colour is a orange which is used on other areas of the digipack.

This digipack shows a fairy on the front cover but in a blurred image. It has wings which shows that the fairy can rise when flying which links with the bands name 'Relentless Risers'.
